We all love Mail

I just love getting goodies in the mail, & I am expecting some nestabilities & some stamps that I ordered, so I can't wait!
I keep checking the mail every day!
This stamp is Shirley Rainman 2008 for Make an Impression (425)557-9247 I bought it from a booth at the stamping/scrapbooking convention that was here in San Antonio back in October. I hope that we have another one of those shows here in 2009. Their sample showed it with the tiny punched flowers that I think add so much.
I used watercolor ppr & marvy markers to watercolor in the image. Corner flower punch I bought from the bunch bunch

Wisteria Columns Watercolor

Hurray! I finally got a picture to come out decent.
I have had a difficult time getting pictures of detail without being blurry. This time it came out pretty good.
This is again using Art Impressions clear stamps
for the columns & small vine/branch & flowers.
I use watercolor paper & Marvy markers.
I did add the flower soft to the flowers & vines on this one.
In case you can't tell by now I love watercolors,
but no I don't work for Art Impresions.

Wishing Well Watercolor

This is yes another stamp by Art Impressions
They are made for watercoloring. You see the basic image;
then next the outlines are softened by going over them with just the slighest bit of water on on your liner painbrush. Then start to fill in the roof & base of the well.
Wash in green to create a horizon line then wash in a sky
(I use wet on wet) Then when green wash is dry go back and stamp in grass using tiny grass stamp & fill in vines using small vine stamp. Flowers are added using tiny flower stamps. Last go over the grass, vines & flowers again with tiny amount of water on your brush. Of course you can add stickles or flower soft to grass & flowers if desired. I have used the flower soft & it looks great but I cant seem to get it to photograph clear enough to show yet.

These cards were made using stamps from Art Impressions
I love to use thier stamps to create scenes. The difference in colors and antiquing can make them quite different. These are watercolored in using the same technique as on the vintage shoe & flowers posting. I will try for better pictures next time.

I have been so inspired by all the blogs that I have been looking at for the past several weeks, that I was brave enough to try this myself. My goal is to share ideas & gain friends in the stamping community (which is now thanks to the Internet basically the whole world)
The book "Paper Bouquet" by Susan Tierney Cockburn has been a huge inspiration to me.
I have made many 3-D flower cards since I found this book. I bought clear boxes that are perfect to put these in since a regular envelope will not work for them. Once in the box they are a great little gift, plus these boxes work great to put 4 or 5 flat cards & envelopes in to give as a gift. I found the best price on these boxes at California paper goods http://capg.zoovy.com/category/clear_boxes.clear_boxes/

Hi, This is my very first posting, as I just set up this blog account...Whew!

My name is Lisa, I am from San Antonio, TX and I Love to create cards and paper crafts. My Favorite is Watercolors!

Here is a card created using a "Great Impressions" stamp inked using LePlume markers, then water colored in using ink from markers. The flowers are small individual stamps from "Art impressions" also inked with markers & also water colored to blend & add softness. The whole card was then sponged with distress inks in antique linen. Edges were distressed & sponged darker. Then layered onto Mulberry paper with edges frayed. My photography does not do them justice.
